Not unlike the superhero drama, the Heroes soundtrack swirls the familiar (classic Dylan and Bowie cuts) with the unknown (new tunes by Wendy & Lisa, who do the series' incidental music). '
'All Things Must Pass,'' the first studio recording since 1998 by the Jesus and Mary Chain, may seem like the marquee attraction, but the group has mellowed too much with age. Focus instead on tasty exclusives from Imogen Heap, Wilco, and Yerba Buena, whose ''Maya's Theme'' transforms, Clark Kent-style, from an atmospheric slow jam into an Afro-Cuban throwdown.

Not that anyone believed Adam Monroe was actually down for the permanent count when Hiro buried him alive to end season two, but David Anders recently confirmed that he's likely to play a key role in Heroes Season Three.
"I believe so, yeah. I hope so. I know I'm going to be in one of the first six [episodes] so," Anders told SyFy Portal's Alan Stanley Blair at this weekend's Eclipse event in the United Kingdom. "But after that, it's called "Villains," and I am an uber-villain."
In the third volume of the series, the villains of the show will get a chance to show just how evil they can be. Among them are Adam, Angela Petrelli (Christine Rose) and 12 new characters still to be revealed. Then there's the true, major villain of the show, of course.
"Sylar is hard to beat. Sylar's eyebrows alone..." Anders said, adding another comment about his character. "Adam is just misunderstood. When God wasn't happy with what he'd created he made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. He just washed it all away.' I love my lines."
The Heroes Caption Contest turned 25 this week. We'd like to thank everyone that has helped this becoming the strongest, only contest of its kind on the Internet.

Hayden Panettiere recently talked to UK's Titan Magazine about what her fellow Heroes costars are like. Here's what she had to say:
"Adrian Pasdar, we've always said, is like the big brother. He always wants to take you here, take you there he's the leader when [cast-members are on tour together]. Greg Grunberg is a goofball, Milo Ventimiglia is more of a flirt, Sendhil Ramamurthy and Masi Oka are great.
Ali Larter and I are girls, we stick together. Jack Coleman I'm very close to. I get to work with him a lot, and he's so much fun. He's so funny and he's such a bright man. It's fun to be around somebody like that who is bright, but funny at the same time. Zach Quinto, who plays Sylar, is funny as anything, and he's a good friend, too.
And Ashley Crow, who plays my mom they all have their own personalities, and it's a hoot when we get together.
"Everyone has a crush on either Milo or Sendhil, but then I look at Greg and Adrian and Masi, and I see that everyone has crushes on them, too. We have a cast full of heartthrobs, what can I say? It's not only a large cast, but it's a large cast of really good actors. When you're around such good actors, you want to bring yourself up to their level and strive to do your best.
At the same time, in this show, we don't always get the chance to work with each other, so it's almost like showing off every time you get to work with [any cast-mate]. You're so excited, because it's like, Ooh, I've got to be really good, because I'm working with so-and-so today.'"

There are a number of reasons to lament the fact that Heroes won't be back on the air until the fall.
A major one for female viewers, however? Less time spent ogling Milo Ventimiglia. But the Heroes Fanatic staff is here to help.

Japanese actress Eriko Tamura (pictured) - who played the 16th-century love interest of Hiro at the outset of Heroes last season - has admitted that her character will play a role in season three.
Please, television gods, tell us this doesn't mean Hiro goes back to feudal Japan again.
Tamura said that her character, Taeko, was supposed to be transported to the present in episodes that were scripted, but not finished before the writers' strike commenced last fall.
"I am going to be in the present, yes," Tamura assured viewers in an interview. "I actually had a few episodes of the script then. Suddenly, the strike happened, so we had to stop the shooting."
