Heroes Spoilers: New Character to Be a Villain

In previous Heroes spoilers, we posted the fact that a new character named Joy was coming to the show in season three.

Now, Kristin from E! has come out with more information on this Joy:

Look for a new villain named Joy. Her power is superspeed—she's lightning-fast, like the Flash. Hiro meets her in a museum. He asks her if she has powers and if she is trying to steal some art.

She convinces him she's on the up-and-up...and then makes off with a bunch of paintings. She's described as a nymph-like character with the speed of a cheetah on, er, speed.

Heroes Producer Spills Season Three Secrets

TV Guide recently chatted with Heroes Executive Producer and Director, Allan Arkush. The man behind the scenes for the show talked about the upcoming third season, set to premiere on September 15.

Villains will take center stage in the upcoming chapter, aptly titled "Villains."

"It will be really clear who these villains are," said Arkush. "These are not necessarily characters you've met already. Obviously, there's going to be a lot of Sylar."

Will there be a mix of heroes and villains, though?

"One of the things that strikes me as so interesting about the [episode "Company Man"] was when H.R.G. says, 'I'm very comfortable in the morally grey area,'" says Arkush. "Think about that. Just like when Nathan and Linderman were going to destroy New York for reasons they thought were correct. And who on the show seems to be able to make very hard decisions and has grown as a character? One of those people is Angela (Petrelli)."

Overall, Arkush promises, "one of the things that we're going to explore is the very nature of these powers — where they come from, who has them, what the different aspects are of how they each got their powers and how it affects them.

That's going to be a major storyline this year — the actual genetic essence of the power."

Hayden Panettiere Blogs About New Movie

Hayden Panettiere has updated her MySpace blog. In it, she talks about her next movie, along with the upcoming return of Heroes...

"Hey everyone! I'm in Vancouver right now filming a movie for Fox called, I Love You Beth Cooper. I'm having a blast filming and everyone is so nice. Chris Columbus is a wonderful director and one of my favorites so far. It's very cool because I get to work with a lot of young people in this film and because it's a comedy we get to be goofy all the time!

Hot, Hot Hayden

I'm very excited to get back to Heroes in May and see all my cast mates. I also just received the script for episode one and let me tell you, it's great! Heroes is back to the action and adventure that went on in the first season and even the first episode is packed with cliff hangers and lots of cool stuff!

Hope all is well, thanks for checking out the site!

Smack that, all on the floor, smack that, give me some more…

Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy: A Tale of Two Spocks

Quinto, ZacharyAt last week's Grand Slam XVI Sci Fi Summit in Burbank, California, Heroes star Zachary Quinto was interviewed alongside Leonard Nimoy.

Each actor will take on the role of Spock in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek remake, with Quinto receiving the bulk of the screen time. Here are a few excerpts from TV Guide's interview with the stars:

TV Guide: What do you think J.J. brings to Star Trek?
Quinto: Everything. He brings his ability to execute his vision — which is basically unparalleled — a really generous spirit, a lot of respect for the people he works with and the people who work with him, a sense of humor and some mad beat-boxing skills. In between takes, actually.

TV Guide: Is this a crazy movie to promote, because of all the secrecy?
Nimoy: There's always been an issue of trying to protect the secrecy of the next Star Trek movie, whichever one it was. There are people who make it their business to try to get their hands on the script and be able to say, "I got it and I can tell you what's happening." In this particular case it's been a very special effort on the part of those people to break through the security barrier, and as a result the security has been stronger than it ever has been before.

Quinto: I think the speed with which people get their information now makes it more of a problem. The first day I shot the movie, before it was over J.J. came to me with his phone and showed me a picture that he had downloaded from the internet of us standing in the room that we were still shooting in. It was already on the Internet! That's actually what instigated the heightened security.

The next day I showed up and we had floor-length vinyl jackets with hoods [to cover costumes] and golf carts that were completely enclosed in black tarp. That persisted through the entire shoot, even when we were on the lot at Paramount. People were worried about camera phones and digital cameras and it's understandable because there were a couple of times that a background actor or someone who was working on the crew would snap a couple of photos and they would inadvertently end up on the Internet, and that's just a headache for the legal departments.

People think they want to know, but they don't want to know. It's going to ruin the experience for them.

The Hopes and Dreams of Milo Ventimiglia

Milo the Magnificent Milo Ventimiglia appeared on Live with Regis and Kelly! this morning. During the broadcast, the man that makes female viewers soon as Peter Petrelli admitted that acting may have been his first love... but there were others.

"I had a couple options," Milo said."One, I wanted to be an actor. Two, I wanted to be a doctor. And third, I wanted to be a fighter pilot."

Despite the fulfillment of his initial dream, Ventimiglia - whose new movie Pathology opens on April 18 - got to live out another one during the recent hiatus from Heroes, he said:

"During the strike, when Hollywood was shut down, [I went up in a fighter plane]. And I also spent some time with the Air Force Reserves. It was amazing. It was one of the coolest things I'd ever done to see what these pilots put themselves through, the training, what the planes are capable of."
