At least week's Saturn Awards, Heroes creator Tim Kring discussed his plans for season three, the volume entitled "Villains."

"You're going to see a lot of bad guys in this one," Kring said to Sci Fi Wire. "The idea, also, is we're playing off the idea of our characters as heroes or villains. So it's really the duality of good and evil. All of our characters were given these powers and possess these powers, and at some point it becomes sort of free will and human nature as to what you're going to do with that.

And all of us are given the choice to make decisions that lead us down very dark paths or towards heroic ends. And so, literally, every one of our characters gets faced with that dilemma."

What does the future hold for Hiro and company in season three of Heroes?

Kring also assured his fans that the new volume will try to delve deeper into the psyches of the show's characters.

"One of the things that this volume is going to do that, I think, is really going to be fun for the audience is that there were very initial sort of primal questions that the show asked," Kring said. "Who am I? What's happening to me? How am I connected? Where are these powers coming from? All of those questions get reframed and turned on their head in a very interesting way in this volume."

We can't wait to find out what that way is!

• Sources say Kristen Bell will not be a regular this season. However, she will appear in a recurring fashion, most likely for five more episodes.
• The only new regular is Cristine Rose as Mama Petrelli, who has a lot to do with event this season.
• Sylar is going to start working with H.R.G.

Interesting tidbits for sure. It's too bad Bell won't be on the series full-time. Seems like the show never used her to her full potential, doesn't it?

As for the Sylar and H.R.G. pairing: what could they be up to together?

As previously reported, a shooting will take place very early in the season three premiere of Heroes. Based on what we've heard, Claire is likely to take aim at Peter.

Why? We have no idea at the moment.

But the rumor appears to be verified by the photo below. It's a shot (pun... intended!) of Claire firing a gun, and sporting a darker hair color than usual.

What's going on in this photo? We'll have to tune in to the Heroes season three premiere on September 15 to find out!

As she so often does, Kristin from E! Online has come through with a tease of a Heroes spoiler for next season. This one sounds extra juicy!

Claire is not the only character on the show who is adopted. And the next adoption twist is perhaps my favorite twist ever on this show. You know how sometimes those silly promo guys say things like "It will change everything?" Well this one actually will.

Wow. High praise, indeed. Who could Kristin possibly be referring to as adopted?!?

We already know Claire is adopted. Spoilers now reveal that another Heroes character is, as well. Our money is on Peter.

Heroes star Ali Larter (yes, she'll be back for season three) is on the cover of the latest Allure.

In the issue, the actress opens up about her struggles with weight and the insecurity her profession can create within a beautiful woman.

"I think that's where insecurity comes from, because it starts with being celebrated for the way you look... and it's weird that it's something you did nothing to get," Larter said, referring to the "Hot Girl Syndrome" that fiance Hayes McArthuer claims she possesses.

The 32-year-old New Jersey native (famous ever since her whipped cream bikini in Varsity Blues) revealed she once had to have her thighs duct-taped before a photo shoot because "they were a little too round."

Larter said she remembers "sitting in my trailer hysterically crying from the embarrassment I felt about myself, my body - and that no one could talk to me directly."

Now, fortunately, Larter has found the perfect balance in her life.

"I'm an indulger, but then I have to be good... When I'm in really good shape, I like my butt. It's juicy."

According to Kristin from E! Online, you really, really don't wanna miss the third season premiere of Heroes. Here's what she had to say about it:

I don't have much to tell, other than the fact that in the first three minutes one of the lead heroes is going to bust a cap off at one of the other lead heroes. And oh yeah, the guy she pulls the trigger on just might be the guy she's playing tonsil hockey with in real life.

That certainly makes it obvious who is shooting who. But why would Claire take aim at Peter? Send in your theories today!

What will happen in season three between Claire and Peter?

Francis Capra - formerly of Veronica Mars fame - is joining the Heroes this fall. He'll take on the recurring role of Jesse Murphy.

According to TV Guide, not much is known at the moment about this character. We can report, though, that he'll be one of the season's villains; and that Jesse will cross paths with Peter Petrelli.

On Heroes, Francis Capra will reunite with former Veronica Mars co-star Kristen Bell.

Viewers will still have to wait until September 22 for the third season premiere of Heroes, but producers plan to release a few clips over the summer at this year's Comic-Con.

"We have to show our wares," said executive producer Tim Kring, "If getting buzz means spoiling some things, I'll take buzz any day."

Especially any day that follows a disappointing second season.

Although it's not set in stone, Kring hopes to screen the September 22 season premiere of Heroes at San Diego Comic Con 2008 in July. If anyone attends the event, please send us a report.
