Last night's conclusion to the third volume of Heroes left numeroues questions unanswered.
Is Sylar dead? Will Hiro regain hisi abilities? Fortunately, we needn't wait until new episodes return on February 2 for the answers, thanks to Kristin from E! Online...
Sylar's Not Dead: True, Sylar's healing power was deactivated - and, yes, he was inside Pineheart when Meredith went blew up. But, come on, of course he isn't dead. Sylar will emerge from the rubble and set off on a quest to find his powers.. along with his parents.
Hiro on Hold: Even though Arthur took his native abilities, Peter can now fly, due to a timely injection of the formula. (See, we told you it wasn't all bad!) Hiro's powers, however, will remain turned off for the time being.

Episode Continuity Error #1.
Hiro on hold? Hiro should still be trapped in the past! If you believe in the laws of physics then there is no way that he could have been returned to the present without the use of his own time-jumping powers. In Last night's mid-season ender, Hiro was retrieved from the past when Daphne went back in time with the aid of Ando's new "supercharger" power. The theory was that by ramping up Daphne's speed to faster-than-light, she could go actually go back in time. That's fine ... except there is no way for her to move FORWARD in time. faster-than-light only allows one to move backward. So how did they get back to the present? Logic flaw.
Episode Continuity Error #2.
Even if Clair's biological mother wasn't able to control her fire-starter powers after Sylar pumped her full of adrenaline, she is impervious to her own fire, so she could have survived. Especially since concrete is basically fireproof. With the exception of a supernova, the building shouldnt have collapsed the way it did.
Episode Continuity Error #3.
Sylar's powers were deactivated by Clair when she managed to stick something in the back of his brain? .... but Sylar has a superhearing power and should have heard her coming from miles away. That raises the other question I keep thinking about: despite all the powers he has taken since the show began ... why does he never seem to use any of them except right after he takes them? Other than the telekenetic finger he uses to pop open people's heads he either seems to get bored with them or else the writers are forgeting to keep a tally of what powers he actually has (nuclear, freezing, truth-telling, creating illusions, changing metals, speaks any language, superhearing, painting the future, electricity,.... and on and on and on. He should be totaly unstoppable at this point.
Hopefully in the next half of Season Three the writers will pay more attention to their writing.
PS: It might be useful for this site to set up a section where people can enter continuity errors for each episode. They seem to be growing.

Episode Continuity error #1: Faster than light travel allows you to travel through time. No theory on the rate at which you would travel through time of in which direction.
Episode Continuity error #2: Merideth is immune to fire but unfortunately not the tons of material that falls on top of her. As Noah said, the building was coming down. (this is "heroes", who knows who is really dead)
Episode Continuity error #3: Please stop with the "all heroes should use every power they have to the utmost of their ability at any time". (ex. that was stupid if I were Peter I would have stopped time and gone back to a fraction of a second to move the....blah blah) He was distracted. He was using another ability. Or even better the writers said he lost all his previous abilities with the Shanti Virus and only got back TK (which is a plot hole itself).

iam in europe, am a sucker for theese spoilers haven't seen the last episode yet but reading the reports from last night, did peter get his own ability back the copying thing or did he get flying?

I'd assume that Peter got his natural ability back and was able to consume Nathans power due to the proximity of them.

she might've been fire proof, but would've been killed by the falling concrete, no?

didnt Meredith previously state that she barely escaped from the fire that occurred 16years ago? implying that she may not be impervious to fire?

umm how can meredith not be impervious to fire? she MAKES fire!! also, peter probably got his absorption ability when he injected the formula, and just absorbed nathan's ability.

Daphne was able to move so fast that she could go BACK in time. Fine. How did she know where Hiro was and how could she time travel so accurately? How could she move forward in time? How is Arthur dead? He has the immortal power! Bennett came back to life from a headshot wound with just some of Claire's blood! Why doesn't anybody kill Sylar when they have the chance? He should be the guy everybody is trying to put in the ground because he is such a serious threat to all of them. Why are there only four main characters that are non-white's? I think it's funny that Hiro travels to fuedal Japan to find a famous Japanese warrior and whaddya know, it's another white guy! Yay! The Last Samurai all over again! Is it really that difficult to find good non-white actors? Knox (my favorite character)is dead, D.L. is dead, Alexandro is dead and who cares since they aren't main characters anyway right? Wrong! The mains are sooo annoying! Nathan's an asshole, Peter's a wuss, Claire....nevermind. Lemme get back to the episode. Ahem! Peter doesnt want anyone running around with abilities but it's okay if he has them right? What a hypocrite. Why would Meredith explode if her fire only comes from her hands? She could have just focused the excess energy at something until the adrenaline wore off. Whatever. Why did Sylar kill Elle? He already had her power. How come the Puppet Master (awesome character, my no.2 fav) could'nt hold Sylar? Sylar doesn't have a power he can overcome someone with if he's paralyzed to my knowledge. Super strength wouldn't matter against Doyle's ability. How was Sylar using his powers if the Haitan was using his? Ridiculous. Why did the eclipse take so long? An eclipse is very short. If Claire had her power since birth how did it go unnoticed for so long? Your child never being sick and healing instantly from any injury would raise a flag i think. =By the time they get Angela safe, Meredith was ready to blow. She could not escape when Bennet and Clare were getting Angela because Sylar had the building on lockdown.

=The Haitian JUST ABOUT stopped using his ability under the strength of Arthur. When Sylar was on the scene, The Haitian was not using any of his negating powers and even if he did, it would be to stop Arthers power, and not Sylar.
Why did the eclipse take so long? An eclipse is very short.
=True, but the writers wanted to prolong this to pack in more action. The actual eclipse is currect time imo...the actual total eclipse took longer.
If Claire had her power since birth how did it go unnoticed for so long? Your child never being sick and healing instantly from any injury would raise a flag i think.
=Powers don't always come at birth, they manifest at different times of your life and develope from there (and not from birth). Some kids (Molly and Micha) had their powers manifest early.

=Because Arthur was the man Daphne USED to work for. He could easily find her and stolen her power easily.
