Welcome to our 26th Heroes Round Table.
While fans of the show gather in the forums to discuss every character and storyline, our staff comes together every week to analyze the latest developments from the latest episode.
Topics in this edition include: Claire's decision, Nathan's reversal and Tracy. Let's get to the Q&A...
Should Claire have helped Doyle?
A. Hiro: NO! It's all well and good Claire wants to help her friends... but then why not help her friends?!? The last we saw of Doyle, he was acting in as deplorable a fashion as possible. It was very strange to have him just show up, ask for help - and actually receive it!
Milover: Of course not. But this wasn't about Doyle. Claire has now chosen to be a proactive Hero. I'm interested to see where that goes.
Timex: Yes. Can't people change? She didn't intervene until she saw that Doyle didn't kill that agent, even when he had the chance to.

So... is Nathan a good guy again?
Timex: I has a problem with this. I understand Nathan never meant real harm to his friends, but didn't he expect this sort of mission might get messy? It was awfully ignorant of him to turn on the Hunter just because things slipped a bit out of control.
A. Hiro: It's a gray area, hence the episode's title! Nathan truly had the best interests of his country in mind when this volume began. Now he's seen the error in his ways. Nothing wrong with that.
Milover: He always planned on keeping Claire safe, that's nothing new. Nathan was never a true villain, that's what volume three taught us. There's good and bad inside everyone.
Do you want Tracy to die?
Milover: Yes.
Timex: Yes.
A. Hiro: Yes.
Were you satisfied with Sylar's meeting with his father?
A. Hiro: For the most part. I wanted to learn a bit more about Mr. Gray between the time he killed Sylar's mom and this meeting.
Milover: Nope. Where was that epic father/son showdown?!? Like Sylar, I wanted a true battle to escalate, resulting in the death of Mr. Gray.
Timex: I'm satisified now that it's over. We need Sylar to get involved in the main storyline again.

Totaly agree with what ur saying about sylar. It was cool if not a little disappointing to meet is father. But now he needs to get in on the main storyline with everyone else. I really want to know what his agenda is gonna be. Rumors of him working alongside the hunter are making me wonder! And nathan has stillgot alot of ass kissing to those he's hurt. Especially peter. Even if he is on their side of the fence now.

Sylar meeting his dad was a bit of a let down for me I guess I was expecting something else.
Interesting to see how the rest of the Heroes will react to Nathan now. Something tells me he'll be the outcast for a bit. But I'm hoping and praying he and Peter can make up I hate to see them estranged from each other like this.
Cold Snap with Tracy as the lead heroine is going to interesting. We've never had one of the girls being in lead yet.=)

Claire's decision to help Doyle was based on the sole question what kind of hero is she? If she hadn't then she'd be no different than Noah, in the sense he just captured the dangerous ones and locked them up. If she did, like she did, then that shows us that she is willing to give a second chance if the character can prove themselves. I believe her helping Doyle was the right thing to do.
I believe from the bottom of my heart that Nathan was never the villian this season. It was all Danko aka "the Hunter," that was the villian. Like it has been mentioned before, Nathan only had his friends best interests in mind when he initially promoted the idea of rounding them up. Unfortunately he had left two or three possible variables in the open when he initiated them: Peter, Sylar, and possibly Samson(Sylar's daddy for those of you who don't pay that much attention or watch with captions). Any one of these three could've put an end to Nathan's plan of putting them on an isalnd. Which brings to mind Peter's ability which is pissing me off.
I wouldn't mind if Tracy Strauss died in the episode Cold Snap, but I'd much rather keep Ali Larter int he storyline. I'm quite fond of her acting abilities when it comes to different personalities. Perhaps if she does die, then next season she could come back as someone a lot like Peter used to be...
Yeah, I was satisfied with the Sylar/Samson meeting. Sure I was disappointed with a fight between the two but the way they left it gives us a chance to bring in Samson later in the series. Sylar did make the mistake of mentioning he "aquired" the ability to heal from a cheerleader in California. This could lead to Samson making a possible trip down there to find her. I think a much more epic fight would be that one. After he's aquired the ability with only one of them knowing the real way to kill the other.

I dont want any more of the cast to go on any side turns like Hiro/ando in India and Sylar daddy road trip (Both were pointless and unneccessary) Lets everyone get back together and stay focused on the issue at hand. I want them all to work "together" as how the soundtrack they played at the start of this volume. Claire was cool with helping Doyle if you understand what the comic book shop keeper said.
Nathans role will change again but this time with understanding because it is human to make mistakes and he didnt anticipate it could get this ugly.
I look foward in seeing what they are going to do to Mohinder, Matt, and Tracy next episode. I want to see how Hiro/Ando are going to save the baby(finally contributing to the story), and Peter where he is.
Lets not kill off Tracy guys. "HELLO" LETS NOT LOSE ALL THE SEX APPEAL ON THIS SHOW. She is atleast contributing part to the story as a prisoner, not like Maya who contributed nothing!

I think that if they kill anyone off it should be either Mohinder(because I find him very annoying & boring to watch) or find someway to kill Claire(I cannot stand her!).
But they should never kill Sylar off, because he's my favorite. :) But him & his father's showdown was kind of a let down.

will adam monroe(David Anders)ever return?
I think the only reason that they killed him was because he is doing the children of the corn remake, and needed time of to film. But the way they killed him, it would be hard for him to make a return.
PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR THOUGTHS!!!!!!!
P.S. He was probally the best actor on the show, along with elle and they are both dead!!!
I mean with acting like Hayden's(claire), and Milo's(peter) know wonder the show has terrible rattings!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT I WANNA SEE IS SYLAR GETTING OUTSMARTED BY HIS FATHER AND SAMASON GETTING HIS IMMORTALITY ABILITY PLUS ALL THE OTHERS SYLAR HAS STOLEN..WITH SYLAR, WE ALWAYS SEE HIM CONFIDENT AND ALWAYS GETTING THE UPPERHAND, LETS MAKE SAMSON THAT ONE INDIVIDUAL THAT NO MATTER WHAT WILL BE THE THORN IN SYLARS BUTT, THE ONE INDIVIDUAL HE CANT GET ONE OVER, OR EVER WIN OVER..SYLAR NEEDS A TRUE NEMISIS THAT MAKES HIM LOOK STUPID.EVERY PERSON LOVES TO SEE THE ARROGANT GUY FALL ONCE IN A WHILE, OR HAVE THAT ONE PERSON THAT CAN PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE..LET IT BE SAMSON.
