my concern regarding how the writers strike will affect the show is that we might not ever see how it was originally supposed to end (if they end up using the re-write for the 1st halfs cliffhanger.) Plus, I read that this re-write cleans house with a lot of characters (which might not be a bad thing :)

First of all, it was not the best episode at it was expected to be, but it wasn't a disappointment either. It's just sad to see how there are so many stuff that can be put out of the show since it doesn't make any sense at all. And I felt they rushed alot on the storyline. (Oh how I wish each episode's longer). I remember feeling so hyped everytime I watched a season 1 episode, but this time around. I have more "blehs" than "wows".
There are some things on this episode that I think entirely needs questioning.
1. Why did Peter have to kiss Elle? I mean, the kiss didn't make that much significance to help Peter and Adam escape. And it's not like a love connection between Elle and Peter was needed at all with regards to the storyline.
2. DL's death was entirely b*llsh*t. Why did he have to die? And how the hell did the company heal Niki?
3. If Angela's power is persuasion, how is it related to the girl who also had that ability on season 1 (I think her name was Eve.)
4. How come Adam's shirt didn't burn? (Who thinks Adam's smokin' hot. I do!! and West too! How I wish they'd have shirtless moments.)
5. Why did the Haitian have to erase Peter's memory? What did he mean by "this is the only solution"?
6. When the hell could we know the reason why Sylar doesn't have his powers?? Was he given the medication while he was being healed. Was he already completely "healed" and stripped off of his abilities? Will he go shirtless on the next episode?
7. What the hell are the twins that important in this season? How do they fit in all of this?? I think Bob knows something about them.
And just to clarify, the last of the 8 paintings shows a dead dude with horn-rimmed glasses, and of course, Noah was the only guy with that kind. Bob has square black ones. therefore killing the possibility that the guy in the painting is Bob.
The thing about the whole family connection throughout the season isn't that necessary. It has been discussed beforehand that the abilities were a result of evolution of some sort. Making it not necessary for everyone to be related. It's a case of mutation and evolution of the human genome (forgive me for being geeky)
I agree with a previous post about the producers holding back Peter's abilities. Let him kick some ass with everything he has absorbed.
Another question: Since Peter came close with Sylar before, and knowing that f*cking Sylar got so many hell of powers, aren't those powers absorbed by Peter as well? Where are those abilities. Show show show!
I'd have to agree with the previous posts regarding posting eye-straining-no-punctuation-wrong-spelling posts. It's a complete disaster.

I really did not like this episode, only because it was sort of boring..
I LOVE HEROES and everything but i slept through out half of it.
What was the point of peter kissing Elle??
made no sense to me but whatever..

stop hating on peter. he was in jail for a couple months and forgot the taste of a woman. better Elle than Adam.

I think Elle and Peter is there for a kind of sexual tension/bad girl temptation thing.
Perhaps Eve (name?) is Angela's daughter. J/K. Making everyone related to everyone seems to be the solution to explaining everything. Adam is related to Claire. Elle is related to HRG and Claire. Someone suggested Adam is related to Peter (and therefore Nathan). Matt has made himself related to Molly. Someone else suggested Adam is related to everyone. I'm half-expecting Sylar to suddenly declare to Peter: "Luke.....I am your father!"

Don't know if anyone's said this yet as I haven't read every coment, but RE: Peter absorbing the Haitian's abilities, surely this is impossible, because the Haitian shut's down Peter's ability to absorb....?Posted 11/14/2007 3:07:45 PM #

West's and Adam's girlfriend says:
5. Why did the Haitian have to erase Peter's memory? What did he mean by "this is the only solution"?
The Haitian clears Peter's mind to SAVE HIS LIFE. Elle was very PISSED OFF with him. He may had strict orders from Angela to get Peter out of harm's way.
The Haitian has erased memories before for protection (i.e. Noah Bennett)

Wouldn't it be funny if Peter forgets his new memories with the replacement of the old...leaving Katelin in the screwed up future.

I've wondered about Peter being able to absorb teh Haitian's abilities. What we don't know for sure is how exactly the Haitian's nuetralizing powers work. My theory is he has to be concentrating on the individual he is neutralizing. Remember how he was intently staring at Matt in that bar in season 1? And in this episode, he was standing right beside Elle and she could still shoot out her lightning. But Peter was useless in his presence. If only for dramatic effect, the producers can;t give Peter the Haitian's powers. How anti-climatic would a fight with Sylar be if Peter can just shut him down and then kick his ass?
As for that 8th painting, I have no doubt it's HRG in the painting. But I don't think he's going to die. This is one of those Isaac paintings that serves as a warning. Much like the paintings of New York laid to waste that never came true, neither will this one. Bennett is too important to the show to kill off.
I've also heard somebody is going to die this week. My guess will be Alejandro (or maybe that is more of a hope?!?!)

I wonder about the urn full of ashes that Claire is holding. Noah's? If he is killed, I think Hiro will have to save him. Hopefully.Posted 11/14/2007 11:42:31 PM #
